I'm a lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University, Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI), sound artist and passionate mountaineer. My work and passion lay at the intersection of mountaineering, sound and the arts.

I'm a former lecturer in Creative Computing at University of Leicester. He holds a PhD from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire’s Integra Lab on designing embodied human-computer interactions in music performance; and a Bachelor of Music on software development for the tangible user interface (TUI) for musical expression "Metis".

He was Research Associate at Goldsmiths - University of London's Embodied AudioVisual Interaction Unit (EAVI) where he worked as sound and interaction designer for the development of a wireless EMG board for musical applications as part of the ERC funded project BioMusic led by Prof Atau Tanaka; Integra Lab for the development of Integra Live; and Centro Ricerche Musicali di Roma where he assisted the composer Michelangelo Lupone and the artist Licia Gallizia in the realisation of interactive sound art installations.
